Aramil’s log, stardate unknown (no stars to see). Also known as Armasse +1 for now. If only we had a dwarf around who could tell me what time it is.
We met 3 NPCs who are travelling with us on the way back to the surface: Anevia (broken legged rogue), Aravashnial (blind wizard) and Horgus (noble dick). These NPCs are currently in the mongrelmen town as we didn’t want to take their gimp selves into the bad mongrel hamlet.
Horgus will pay us 1000 GP to get him alive to the surface. He’s a dick, xenophobe and a classist. The paladin doesn’t like him and will probably get our reward taken away from us for being a dick back.
Anevia is trying to get back to her wife on the topside who is a crusader iirc. She has a broken leg at this time. Her and her wife might dig elves.
Aravashnial is currently blind and a wizard of some note in the city. He is a historian and finds the mongrelmen fascinating. I’ve been leading him around since he can’t see. He has given us both extra lifeforce (charges on false life wand) and potions which were most useful. He is a Rift Warden and I should remember to ask him about my parents when we get out of here.
Chief Sull of the mongrelmen had a son run away after some argument and is currently lost in the tunnels under the city. We found evidence of somewhere he was but not a body. Also, these good mongrelmen want to help in the crusade against the demons as they are descended from an offshoot of crusaders who were afflicted with some disease and their children became the mongrelmen.
We also met Lann, a mongrelman who’s friend was trapped under some rubble which as expertly diverted away by my levitation. He is the one who took us to the mongrel town.
Millorn is an evil dwarf wizard and is currently in our custody. His possessions are now in the party treasury and we’re taking him back to the surface to face any charges of wrongdoing he is accused of. The paladin is also a dick to this guy.
We discovered the bad mongrel tribe is allied with the cultists (Baphomet) and have the evidence to prove it for the crusaders above. We’ve entered the bad tribe’s home area and are making headway through their ranks. There’s at least a crocodile or some similar creature waiting to eat us. We did take out an Inquisitor, Ranger and their minions for their loot. The paladin is now in possession of a legendary sword that transformed itself into a falchion. This weapon once belonged to Yaniel, a renowned demon slaying crusader from an earlier crusade. It was stolen from a museum by the cultists who wished to corrupt it to their own ends. Whether this museum even stands after the attack on Kenebres is in question.
We found this note Player Handout 1-1 about their activites in the city and with the mongrelmen. We have a passphrase for their hideout.
